Description: Science Teacher/Support Block Teacher - Grades 8 & 10
Location: Fernie Secondary School, Fernie, BC
Contract Type: Part-time Temporary (0.571 FTE)
Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this part-time teaching position ranges from $36,176 to $64,148, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.
Job Summary:
0.571 FTE temporary contract, starting February 26, 2025 or upon completion of the posting process to June 27, 2025.
Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Secondary level. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Math and Science.
This position is scheduled for 2 linear blocks of Science 8 and 1 semester block of Support 10.
Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
