Nicola Similkameen School District serves the two communities of Merritt and Princeton, six First Nations Bands, the Métis and the Conayt Friendship Society. The mountains, lakes and valleys within the district make it a natural setting for fabulous, year-round outdoor activities. Merritt, where the office is located, is in the Nicola Valley and is the hub of a highway system that links Kamloops, Kelowna, and the Lower Mainland. Ranching, forestry, health, local government, and tourism are the major industries in the valley.

Nicola Similkameen school district is accepting applications for UNCERTIFIED Teachers Teaching on Call. The district is seeking highly skilled and dynamic individuals to join our list of Casual Uncertified Teachers Teaching on Call. Preference will be given to individuals with a demonstrated work history or volunteer experience working with children and youth.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING INCLUDE:
• Bachelor’s degree or other post-secondary education
• Recent successful teaching experience and/or training preferred
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in working with children and youth

The daily rate for uncertified teachers is $240.00.
