Job Summary:
An employee who, under the direction of the Manager of Operations or designate, is responsible for the care and maintenance of all grounds and an effective pest and rodent control program. In the winter months the incumbent will perform maintenance duties in designated areas.
Position available due to a vacancy.
Job Requirements:
1. Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License.
2. Possess current Structural Pesticide Certificate and Landscape General Pesticide
Certificate or equivalents.
3. Ability to use and care for the equipment required (e.g. light machinery such as power
mower, snow plow) and power tools involved in landscape maintenance (e.g. chain
saw, power drill)
4. Basic knowledge of horticultural methods and applications.
5. Ability to maintain records.
6. Ability to schedule work required.
7. Ability to take direction and suggestions from supervisor or designate and to direct
others as required.
8. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
9. May be required to work and provide services with minimal supervision.
10. Minimum Grade 10 education.
11. Must have understanding and knowledge of safe work practices.
12. Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.
