At SERESPRO, we are recruiting certified respiratory therapists who are members in good standing with the Ordre des inhalothérapeutes du Québec (OIIQ) for temporary assignments in various healthcare settings, including CHSLDs, hospitals, CLSCs, health centers, and other respiratory care facilities across Quebec, including Montreal, remote regions, and northern regions. We offer professional service contracts with competitive hourly rates up to $80/hour (for salaried positions), as well as per diems up to $40/day, depending on the region and the type of assignment. All travel expenses (flight or car) and accommodation are covered for assignments in remote areas. You can work full-time or part-time, with day, evening, or night shifts available based on your availability.

1. Purpose of the Request

SERESPRO is seeking professional respiratory therapists to carry out temporary assignments in various respiratory care settings, including CHSLDs, hospitals, CLSCs, health centers, and other respiratory care facilities across Quebec, including Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Lanaudière, Laurentides, and more remote regions such as Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Gaspésie, Côte-Nord, and Nord-du-Québec. Multiple contracts are also available in the northern regions. These assignments provide professional services in a variety of respiratory care contexts, with competitive salaries and attractive benefits.

2. Description of Expected Services

Selected respiratory therapists will be expected to:

  • Provide respiratory therapy care to adult and pediatric patients, mainly in hospital settings or CHSLDs.

  • Evaluate and treat patients based on their respiratory needs, offering oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and pulmonary rehabilitation.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other specialists, to develop personalized respiratory care plans.

  • Monitor and manage respiratory treatments and medication prescriptions.

  • Adhere to professional standards set by the OIIQ and the protocols of healthcare facilities.

  • Provide technical support in respiratory care and ensure the management of patients' pulmonary health, particularly for chronic diseases such as COPD and asthma.

3. Targeted Regions

Option 1: Northern Regions of Quebec

  • CRSSS de la Baie-James

  • Inuulitsivik Health Center (Hudson)

  • Tulattavik Health Center (Ungava)

  • Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay

Exceptional Conditions:

Option 3: Remote Regions – East and North-East Quebec

  • Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Gaspésie, Côte-Nord, Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Bas-Saint-Laurent

Assignments of 4 to 12 weeks, renewable:

  • Regional health centers, CHSLDs, local clinics, general hospitals

  • Respiratory care in diverse and stimulating environments

  • Varied patient populations with specific respiratory care needs (chronic conditions, post-operative care, etc.)

4. Professional Conditions and Benefits

  • Competitive salary: up to $65/hour (salaried), depending on the region and contract

  • Per diem ranging from $20 /day, based on region and contract

5. Profile Sought

  • Member in good standing with the Ordre des inhalothérapeutes du Québec (OIIQ)

  • Minimum of 6 months clinical experience (experience in CHSLD, respiratory care, or similar settings is an asset)

  • Autonomy, strong organizational skills, and ability to adapt to demanding care environments

  • Fluency in French (spoken and written)

  • Functional English depending on the region served

  • Availability for assignments in remote regions, if applicable
