Description
Our utilities client is seeking a Cyber Security Solutions Architect (1 role) and a Cyber Security Business Analyst (1 role) - 21467, 21466
Initially a 12-month contract to start. Hybrid working model preferred: 2 days/week in Downtown Vancouver. 37.5 hrs/week.
Business Analyst Must Have:
- 7+ years Business Analyst; at least one project of $1M+ in value and one year in length
- Cyber Security Project; firewalls, VLANs, server architectures, UNIX/LINUX, Splunk, Cyberark, F5 Firewall, and IAM solutions
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments, including cyber and privacy risk assessments, ensuring projects align with organizational standards and regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement; proven experience working with senior-level stakeholders, including Directors, and cross-functional teams
Solutions Architect Must Have:
- 7+ years working in a Solutions Architect or similar lead role
- Cyber Security expertise: Linux, Unix, Windows, networking technologies, IAM, and data center environments (both traditional and Azure cloud). Familiarity with key cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, Cyberark, F5 Firewall, and Cisco.
- Experience with large organizations (5000+ employees) and projects of $2M+ in value
Business Analyst Key Responsibilities:
- This role requires a highly skilled individual who is comfortable working with senior-level stakeholders, such as Directors, and is adept at technical documentation, risk assessment The successful candidate will play a critical role in the execution of large-scale cybersecurity initiatives, including but not limited to systems like Splunk, Cyberark, F5 Firewall, Cisco, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Requirements Documentation: Develop detailed documentation for cybersecurity projects, including requirements gathering, functional and technical specifications, and project matrices.
- Risk Assessment: Perform comprehensive risk assessments, including cyber and privacy risk assessments, ensuring projects align with organizational standards and regulations.
- Project Lifecycle Support: Actively engage throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning to implementation and sustainment. Provide continued support for post-implementation project phases.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure business and technical needs are addressed. Lead meetings and discussions with Directors and other key business partners.
- Technical Understanding: Work effectively with technical teams, ensuring communication is clear and technical issues are understood (e.g., firewalls, VLANs, servers, UNIX/LINUX). The BA should be capable of asking technical clarification questions without constant reliance on technical resources.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation to ensure all deliverables are tracked and milestones are met.
Architect Key Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in areas like Linux/Unix/Windows, networking technologies, data center operations (traditional & Azure cloud), and identity and access management (IAM). They will also collaborate closely with development teams, including coding and technical partners, to ensure that solutions align with project goals and industry standards.
- Architectural Design: Lead the development of conceptual architectures for cybersecurity solutions across a variety of projects, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with coding developers to ensure solutions integrate seamlessly into the overall architecture, supporting SDLC processes.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance across the entire project lifecycle. Ensure that the best practices are followed and lead efforts to create innovative and scalable solutions.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (including vendor technical partners) to ensure the technical needs of the projects are met and to promote cross-team collaboration.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Bring deep expertise in areas such as firewalls, IAM, network security, and cloud infrastructure (Azure). Identify security risks and suggest mitigations within project architectures.
- Best Practices: Shape and communicate technical and security best practices for the team and organization.
