Our public sector client is looking for a Financial Analyst to support banking functions and provide administrative support for vendor invoices and billing in Treasury .- 21189

5 month contract, Starting 5 days onsite moving into 2 days hybrid per week.

Must Haves

  • 5 years experience within financial services with 2 years as a Financial Analyst or Project Coordinator similar
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or other related discipline
  • Strong experience with MS office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Nice to Haves

  • Work experience in financial institutions, preferably in payments
  • Work experience in a compliance role
  • Knowledge of a regulated utilities industry

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial evaluations and studies by gathering, researching, adjusting, and analyzing financial data and applying expert knowledge of banking and payment processes, financial evaluation, statistical analysis, and modeling tools using advanced skills in MS Excel or a data analysis software, to support strategic decision making..
  • Assist managers of one or more business units in strategic decision-making by providing expert analytical support and consultative advice on complex business and financial planning issues in compliance with the financial requirements
  • Build meaningful relationships with internal clients by responding to finance related inquiries, resolving banking and finance related issues, and collaborating across functional areas using excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively translate complex finance concepts in a concise and simple manner.
  • Contribute to the analysis of complex capital, operating or revenue budgets, initiatives or projects using good knowledge of audit practices and project management and excellent knowledge of costing, billing, and revenue procedures to adhere to financial policies and associated internal control frameworks.
