Int. Test Lead to develop the end-to-end test strategy for a Digital Student Experience project with our Higher Education client

Duration: 18 months

Location: Etobicoke, ON (2-3x/week)

Role Profile:

The Test Lead is the lead of the overall end-to-end test strategy design and implementation for applications, integrations and platforms. The Test Lead guides the development of all test cases, ensuring that they are clear, straightforward and easily understood and implemented. They oversee the overall testing process and provide reporting on testing progress, defect identification and overall testing performance

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement the end-to-end testing strategy and testing plan for each application, integration and/or platform
• Support all dimensions of testing, including validation, usability, accessibility, performance, load, security and penetration testing
• Coordinate development of all test cases, test scripts and test data to support the testing strategy, ensuring that they are clear, simple and straightforward for others to understand
• Provide training and guidance on the testing strategy, test plan, test cases and their on-going maintenance
• Provide reporting and visibility of testing progress and overall test results, including identification and progress towards resolving defects
• Manage the configuration, setup and maintenance of all test tools and scripts and cover the requirements of test environment and test data.
• Support test data management and the coordination of processes to load test data into the testing environment
• Ensure all testing activities are properly incorporated into the overall planning efforts, and properly reflected as items and tasks on the backlog
• Strong consulting expertise and the ability to independently identify, investigate and recommend appropriate approaches and strategies

Must haves:

• 7+ years of experience as a Test Lead, developing test plans, test cases, and test datasets
• 5+ years of experience with automated testing tools and test suites
• 5+ years managing work in Azure DevOps and managing test plans in Azure Test Plans

Nice to haves:

• Experience in Higher Education/Public Sector
