S.i. Systems public sector client is looking for an Intermediate Application Support Analyst to investigate, analyze and configure business information systems to meet the client's needs

Permanent position. 5 days' a week onsite in Surrey. 37.5 hour work week

Must Haves:

• Experience in a hands on technical role, working with programming tools, languages, and technical procedures a Microsoft Environment (e.g. SQL, PowerShell, C#, Windows)
• Experience in diagnosing and resolving technical problems
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working in cross functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and end users;
• Experience in translating complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical audiences;
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required level of Police Security Clearance
• A degree in a related field from a recognized institution

Nice to have:

• Relevant certifications (i.e., ITIL)

Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis, design, development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom software applications for both new and existing business and technical information systems.
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify complex information systems
• Support the budgeting process by estimating efforts and resources required for project phases and monitoring expenditures or variances.
• Prepare detailed specifications from which programs and sustainment documentation will be produced, including but not limited to instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation, as necessary.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
