Position Title: IT Project Manager
Line of Business: Enterprise programs
What project will this contractor be working on? Implementation of data governance and data management systems.
Target Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 Months
Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid - Wednesday and Thursday and every fourth Friday
Office Location: 81 Bay 14th Floor
Job Description:
• Implementation of Data Governance and Data Management: This involves managing metadata, which is essentially data about data. Effective data governance practices are crucial for regulatory compliance.
• Metadata Management: For example, across 500 operational systems, it is essential to define what each data element means. This includes defining terms like "net worth" and identifying critical data elements (CDEs).
• Critical Data Elements (CDEs): Identifying and defining CDEs is vital. This includes building data quality rules, executing them, and reporting on data quality.
• Enterprise-Wide Data Management: The tool we are implementing will store data quality (DQ) and metadata information, encompassing thousands of metadata entries and CDEs across the entire enterprise.
** This role is participating in the implementation of Purview SaaS. The resource is not expected to know Purview given its recent release. They are expected to be using the microsoft tool suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project)**
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing.
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope.
• Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads.
• Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
• Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
• Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising.
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements.
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
• Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget using The Bank's procedures and policies.
Must Have Requirement:
• History in Waterfall environments.
• PMP Certification.
• Participated on Projects with a budget of $5M or other large projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT project management.
• Managing stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Visio

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and systems.
• Experience with a consulting firm.
• Previous experience within the financial industry.
• Agile Certification.
• Proven track record of implementing technology solutions for regulatory projects.
