Description
Our Safety client is seeking a Intermediate GIS Technician to design and deliver maps and maintain geodatabases in the ArcGIS Software Suite for our safety client
Calgary Based role (South East). Candidates will be on site 5 days/week.
Must haves:
- 5+ years of experience as a GIS Technician or GIS Analyst to build maps and deliver GeoDatabases (ArcGIS 10.x and Pro)
- Experience working with Geospatial Data and the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word & Teams)
- Experience writing SQL definition queries
Nice-to-haves:
- Technical College degree in GIS, or, Bachelor’s degree in Geography or Geomatics with a concentration on GIS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders by focusing efforts on discovering and meeting their needs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing, including effective presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of spatial data.
