Description
S.i. Systems public sector client is looking an Intermediate OR Senior Cyber Security Analyst to valuates, and makes recommendations related to cyber security risk management, responds to cyber security incidents and participates in the development and implementation of cyber security awareness campaigns
6 month contract to start. 5 days/ week onsite in Surrey, BC.
Must Haves:
- Experience with antivirus, instrumented protection system, and firewalls configuration
- Knowledge of security architecture & cyber security standards.
- Ability to help lead/ mentor junior staff
- Knowledge of email, web, and cloud security.
- Knowledge of identity and access management.
- Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
- Knowledge of security threat and risk assessment and threat modelling.
- Knowledge of security event and incident management.
- Knowledge of wired and wireless network access control.
- Knowledge of mobile security and mobile device management.
- Knowledge of PCI compliance and micro segmentation.
Typical Duties:
- Maintains and updates firewall rules.
- Manages intrusion prevention systems.
- Configures antivirus engine policies and register malware.
- Configures virtual private network tunnels and remote access rules.
- Triages advanced threat detection alerts and tune detection rules.
- Manages and maintains web content filter rulesets.
- Conducts vulnerability scanning for all peripheral component interconnect (PCI) and internet facing systems.
- Responds to real or suspected cyber security incidents.
- Maintains the enterprise cyber security risk register.
- Develops and implements risk mitigation plans.
- Develops security test cases.
- Conducts solution vulnerability scanning and application penetration testing.
- Researches current and emerging cyber security threats.
- Conducts cyber security risk assessments and enterprise-wide health checks.
- Participates in the development and implementation of annual cyber security awareness campaigns.
- Participates in cyber security investigations and activities related to the response protocols.
- Performs cyber security forensic activities as required.
- Provides training to Surrey Police Service staff.
- Provides guidance to junior staff.
- Develops cyber security awareness campaign presentations, associated materials and online training.
