Our client is seeking an Intermediate PowerBI Analyst to create dashboards and support with ETL processes (420).

Onsite in Edmonton is required 5 days a week

Required Experience:


  • 5+ years with PowerBI, PowerView, Microsoft SQL Reporting, and Analytical Services.
  • 3+ years' experience with articulating and translating technical language for non-technical customers both verbally and in writing.
  • 3+ years' experience with presenting data in queries, dashboards, and reports in a way that is easy to understand.

Additional Experience:


  • 2+ years' experience with data concepts such as: Extract Transform Load (ETL), Operational Data Store (ODS), Online Transaction Processing (OLTP), etc.
  • 2+ years' direct, hands-on experience performing business requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, and deployment related to data analysis, data analytics, data visualization, data science, data mining.
  • PMP certification would be an asset

Key Responsibilities:


  • Data Enhancement & Quality Management:
  • Lead initiatives to enhance business data quality, identify data gaps, and implement validation frameworks to improve data accuracy.
  • Dashboard Development & Reporting:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, usability, and real-time insights through SharePoint List integration and optimized DAX formulas.
  • Training & User Support:
  • Conduct training sessions and develop user guides for Power BI users and other process improvement tools.
  • Process Optimization & Documentation:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and optimize process flows using tools like Microsoft Visio. Maintain clear documentation of stakeholder workflows and process maps.
  • SharePoint Management:
  • Refine and organize SharePoint repositories for contracts and data, ensuring accessibility and permissions management. Optimize workflows and enhance user experience.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to onboard stakeholders for new IT service enhancement projects. Ensure smooth adoption of tools and processes while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Presentations & Communication:
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations to communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
