Our client is seeking an Intermediate Scrum Master (5+ years) to facilitate agile processes within data technology and business teams within the financial services (investment management) industry. (Remote; Alberta local preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.) and ensure effective participation.
• Coach teams on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of self-organization and accountability.
• Identify and remove impediments to the team’s progress.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed product backlog.
• Promote transparency and visibility by tracking and communicating team progress.
• Act as a servant leader, guiding the team to deliver high-value increments while adhering to Agile principles.
• Facilitate cross-team coordination and dependency management.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospective analysis and process enhancements.
• Support Agile transformation efforts, advocating for Agile adoption at various levels of the organization.

Must Have

• 5+ years as a Scrum Master in Agile Environments
• CSM or PSM Certification
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
• Experience leading development teams using MS Data Tech Stack (Azure DataBricks, DBT, PowerBI, etc.)
