Our client is looking for a Manager of Software Engineer in Test to lead a team of Software Engineers in Test and to lead the company’s efforts to optimize and enhance our build-test-deploy processes.

Permanent, Hybrid - one day in office in downtown Vancouver

Requirements:

• 4+ experience leading and managing Software Engineer in Test or SDET team
• 7+ years of hands-on experience working around enterprise-grade solutions as SDET or SET
• Experience with source control pipelines and knowledge of the principles of CI/CD
• Experience with software quality assurance tooling (such as Selenium, Appium, JMeter), preferably including experience in selecting and configuring such tooling
• Experience with GIT, including repository configuration
• Experience building and improving processes that enhance team productivity
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux
• Experience working on a microsystem-based project
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure
• Experience with Jira configuration
• AWS certifications

Responsibilities:

• This role will work closely with the Director of DevOps and the Engineering Manager to ensure the delivery of quality features to our customers while maximizing the team productivity.
• In collaboration with the DevOps and Development teams, lead the effort to improve our build-test-deploy capabilities. This includes optimizing the approach to testing and tooling to facilitate easy deployment cycles
• Responsible for the career development of a group of Software Engineers in Test
• Propose and advocate for new approaches and tools
• Maintain strong communication channels between all stakeholders regarding the build-test-deploy processes
• Collaborate with other team members, providing guidance and assistance
• Propose and advocate for design changes that will make the product more robust
• Improve our processes and procedures
