Description
S.i. Systems public healthcare client is seeking a HYBRID ONSITE Senior Project Manager to oversee networking and infrastructure planning and implementations for a hospital build project.
- Must live locally in Metro Vancouver
- You will bear all travel costs including parking, laptop, cellphone, travel.
- This role will quickly become 100% onsite at the hospital.
- 18 month full time contract
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
· This is a hands-on (roll up your sleeve) role that requires onsite presence in increasing frequency toward implementation time.
- 4+ Years Project Management experience on large scale IT infrastructure projects
- Experience being onsite being part of networking and infrastructure planning and implementations for a hospital build or renovation project.
- Networking - LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wifi
- Wireless Carriers
- Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
Preferences:
- Basic electrical knowledge: panel, circuits
- Formal project management training or certification.
The IM/IT Deployment team supporting these initiatives requires an Information Management Information Technology (IM/IT) Lead experienced working in large health care building construction initiatives to plan and manage the progressive elaboration of assigned IM/IT work packages for various redevelopment initiatives with new hospitals under construction.
JOB DUTIES:
This role is to coordinate, oversee, implement and verify the deployment of the Networking, wireless carriers, DAS projects in a hospital under construction. This will include the following tasks:
- Voice
- Plan, manage and track the required tasks to deploy Cisco VOIP phones and the required configurations and infrastructure changes
- Coordinate various resources assigned to the sub-tasks
- Meet with end-users to gather requirements and resolve issues
- Coordinate vendors and PHSA-TS for any required tasks including PHSA-TS to configure user call management/flows
- Perform hands-on onsite tasks including equipment storing, phone installations, etc.
- Work with TELUS to deploy analog phones and coordinate cross connects
2. Carrier equipment enhancement projects
a. Work with Rogers, TELUS and Freedom mobile to implement the required infrastructure enhancement onsite
b. Work with FMO and other stakeholders to complete all of the required elements of the rollouts
c. Collaborate with DAS team to complete the carrier integration throughout the lifecycle of the project
3. Supporting application projects
a. Act as Deployment representative for both implementation and rollout of Wired and wireless connectivity as required by projects
b. Gather requirements, define solution, work with PHSA-TS and vendors to rollout solution
c. Design and coordinate vendors and internal stakeholders for installation of USB adapters, provisioning of network ports and installation of RTLS equipment
4. Wi-Fi network, DAS implementation and Wired network:
a. Collaborate with the IT Deployment team to deliver the Wi-Fi Network, DAS and Wired Network
b. Perform WAP labelling and packaging for hand-off to installer
c. Investigate and clarify requirements for VLAN for devices in-scope.
d. Work with vendors for WAN connectivity and Voice gateway connectivity.
e. Troubleshoot and manage issues relevant to network connectivity.
f. Wired network scope may include Fiber connectivity, VOIP, CATV, WAN, Core switches and Edge switches.
- Provide ad-hoc subject matter expertise to other related and aligned FHA capital initiatives as requested by the Executive Director, Capital Facility Projects, IMIT Solutions.
- Establish and improve processes, templates, approach, communication, and issue resolution.
- Lead engagement with third parties (suppliers, PHSA-TS, Design Builder)
- Lead the verification of the Wireless solutions.
- Perform compliance tasks.
- Plan, coordinate and track the implementation of Wi-Fi devices.
- Lead and coordinate the deployment to all departments in device testing and configuration.
- Support application testing and clinical transition activities
- Provide support and issue resolution along with production turn over.
- Create, maintain, and monitor budget and cost center allocation.
- Undertake other work as/if assigned by IT Delivery Manager with the Design-Builder, Health Authority Facilities Management, Owner’s compliance team and other project stakeholders.
- This is a full-time engagement. Additional projects or tasks may be assigned to gain full utilization of consultant.
