Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to review processes and policies and participate in change activities for a registries modernization. (348)


Must Have:

  • 7+ Years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • 5+ years of experience working within an agile development environment.
  • 3+ years of experience evaluating policies, programs, and initiatives using program development principles.
  • 3+ years of experience with change management.

Description: The Registries Modernization Program is adopting an agile approach to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for registry services in Alberta. For the Motor Vehicles registry, this involves a complete overhaul of legacy applications, implementing a new codebase as the system's foundation. The team seeks a Business Consultant experienced in gathering requirements, conducting gap analyses, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions that enhance business operations and efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and conduct process walkthroughs.
  • Identify goals and pain points through gap analysis on current and future state business processes.
  • Create, review, and update user stories, personas, and journey maps.
  • Develop system use cases, flow diagrams, and interactive mock-ups outlining functional requirements.
  • Document and validate results with subject matter experts and draft detailed business and functional requirements specifications.
  • Support the development of system documentation and recommend policies and procedural manuals.
  • Assist with change management and training for complex program changes.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews, assess opportunities for backlog refinement, and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with security and privacy teams to complete security threat risk assessments and privacy impact assessments.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and status reporting.
