Senior Cloud Data Engineer to conduct a pilot for setting up a Landing Zone using Google Cloud Platform.

Our Client is looking for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer that has experience in setting up a landing zone and complete the configuration parameters between GCP landing zones, Google data tools, and connecting to various data sources.

Tasks

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of the new cloud data platform ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
• Plan and execute the migration of data including mapping schemas, optimizing data structures, and ensuring data integrity and security throughout the transition.
• Develop and implement strategies for data ingestion, integration, transformation, and storage
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across IT, data science, and business teams to gather requirements and ensure the new platform meets all needs.
• Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting for the new data platform to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure scalability, performance optimization, and cost-efficiency in the cloud environment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to internal teams throughout the migration and beyond.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, cloud computing, and big data solutions.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3+ years experience as a Data Architect with expertise in cloud data platforms
• Experience with Google BigQuery
• Experience with setting up a landing zone and google data tools

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering environments.
• Relevant certifications GCP
