Description
Our IT consulting services client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to manage an offshore team of data professionals and lead strategic planning for data architecture and governance - HYBRID IN MONTREAL
7 months contract, up til November, high possibly for extension, hybrid in Montreal downtown
Must Have:
- 8+ years in Data Management, Data Engineering, and Data Architecture
- 5+ years experience with SQL, Python, and Excel
- 2+ years in Financial Services (industry or consulting)
- 2+ years experience in data visualization (Power BI and/or Tableau)
- 2+ years with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- 2+ years in Enterprise Data Architecture (ETL/ELT, data retention, quality)
- 2+ years leading end-to-end technology solutions
Nice to Have:
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Certifications in Snowflake
- Experience with AI/ML/Generative AI
- 2+ years managing offshore teams
- Familiarity with MDM, DQ, DG tools (e., Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview)
- Knowledge of R or similar tools
- "Big 4" consulting background or experience across multiple industries
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree
