Our national retail client is looking for a Senior Data Governance specialist to onboard Data Governance assets into the Centralized Data governance platform - 28928

Location: Mississauga - on site Tuesdays + Thursdays

Duration: 6 months to start

Work hours: 37.5 hours a week

Scope: Part of the ‘EXECUTION’ team specialized with hands-on tools & technologies required for onboarding Data Governance assets into the Centralized Data governance platform

Responsibilities:

• Leverage tools and technologies roll out of data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, procedures, processes and metrics.
• Hands-on support and execution of Data governance practices on behalf of business, coordinate the work and deliverables
• Develop & maintain inventory of the information assets, including authoritative systems, data domains, data owners, and the enterprise data governance platform, etc.
• Facilitate and conduct workshop with business partners to identify the assets, collect & curate the metadata
• Serve as a liaison between Business, Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business assets are clearly identified and defined.
• Define indicators for performance, compliance and adoption of data related policies, standards and practices.

Must Haves:

• Exp with data governance, metadata management and data quality practices
• Hands-on experience in any one of the Data Governance tools, preferably Collibra
• 8+ years of IT experience with 4-5 years of experience in Data Governance

Nice to Have:

• Retail domain
• understanding of Data Life cycle
• Relevant certification(s) in the field of data governance
