Senior Database Administrator (Oracle) to prepare infrastructure for the upcoming cloud transformation and improve maintenance efficiency in the public sec

Our public sector client requires a Reliability cleared Senior Database Administrator (Oracle) to prepare infrastructure for the upcoming cloud transformation and improve maintenance efficiency. The client require Database Administrator support services for Oracle environment for in-operations while adhering to the SDLC best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Oracle Enterprise Manager Administration tasks on new projects and in operations.
• Perform necessary optimizations to the database environment.
• Administer databases and databases servers.
• Configure and administer the Database backups.
• Design physical data model.
• Recommend and apply Oracle patches.
• Provide technical support in character set conversion of existing database.
• Provide technical support and expertise in data migration from Oracle to MS SQL Server.

Must have:

• Experience with Oracle 11g+
• Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control
• Experience with Unix and Linux
• Experience using Simpana CommVault
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard

Nice to have:

• Certification of Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert or Oracle Database SQL Certified Professional or Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional or Oracle Database 11g or above Administrator (OCP)
• Diploma in computer science engineering (computer, science-related or computer system-related engineering) or management information systems from a recognized university or college.
