Senior EpicCare Inpatient Orders Business Systems Analyst to provide operational support, build epic order sets, and maintain system documentation

Our valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior EpicCare Inpatient Orders Business Systems Analyst to provide operational support, build epic order sets, and maintain system documentation

An initial 3-month contract, with a possible 6-month extension. Part time (20 hrs/week). Must be available to work between standard business hours (8am-5pm EST)

Responsibilities:

• Confer with application users, operational managers, and clinical leadership. Determine unique and specific software requirements.
• Analyze how new or enhanced features will impact current work processes and determine how it should be used.
• Investigate end users' preferences while making system configuration decisions.
• Analyze proposed changes to business processes to determine the changes on users and their information systems.
• Perform in depth analysis of integrated workflows, data collection needs, and other technical considerations.
• Evaluate proposed changes for their potential to offer improved patient care, lower operating costs and time found without creating risks for the hospital.
• Develop comprehensive documentation to describe and explain the intricate software and hardware configurations of the applications.
• Document frequently asked questions for support documentation and clear standard operation procedures for common tasks.
• Act as a resource for all system users to guide them in the effective use of the software application. Respond to support calls and act as a troubleshooter, interpreting problems as perceived and explained by a wide range of users. Work with the user to investigate the problem and identify a solution.
• Configure software based on decisions and test software to ensure that it meets functional specifications. Confer with other application stakeholders, recognizing the integration nature of an Electronic Health Record.
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation concerning how and why decisions are made throughout the course of a project, systems design and development, and work process redesign.
• Comply with all system Change Management Policies and Practices.
• Collaborate with integrated Order Set Committee to complete system build and maintenance.

Must Have Skills:

• Experience as an Business Systems Analsyt supporting the EpicCare system
• Experience working with Inpatient Orders module
• Certified in EpicCare Inpatient Orders

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in Epic Order transmittal
