Description
Our public sector client is looking for a Senior Fibre Planner to create strategic roadmap for fibre and conduit expansion
Initially a 6 month contract with a possibility of extension. Hybrid model, open to candidates across Lower Mainland, BC. 35 hrs/week
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of Fibre and Conduit implementation in multiple locations with large geographic coverages
- SCADA network experience
- Registered Professional Planner certification
- Strategic documentation experience for cost, approach, and implementation abilities
Nice to Haves:
- Wireless implementation experience
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification
- Cisco Networking equipment experience
- WAN and SDN experience
Responsibilities:
- Liaison and be the point of contact for Engineering and other stakeholders for input
- Create documentation for strategy and implementation approach
- Submit feedback and strategy in regard to fibre growth, maintenance, and implementation in the city
- Create documentation in support of the strategic initiatives and planning
- Support SOW for vendors and contract work regarding implementation planning
- Create 5 years strategic roadmap for implementation planning and cost modeling for fibre and conduit expansion
