Our diversified Energy client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to provide leadership and Engineering guidance (P.Eng) on renewable fuels and regulatory compliance projects for several sites across Canada

Must Have:

• 10+ years of Project Management experience with accountability for resourcing, integrated team leadership, budgeting, scheduling and strategic planning.
• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Chemical Engineering with Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation
• 15+ years relevant Oil and Gas industry experience, preferably in Refinery, Pipelines or Distribution operations
• Experience in projects related to renewable fuels, regulatory compliance, and Ethanol blending

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for safe, cost-effective and timely execution of portfolio of high profile economic and regulatory compliance projects
• Leads and directs the efforts of the integrated team to deliver a portfolio of safe, efficient and effective capital projects.
• Measures and manages the effectiveness of projects by stewarding to the Develop & Manage Projects, Manage Health & Safety and Manage Goods & Services process key performance indicators (KPI), leveraging the Best Practice performance indicators (PI).
• Ensures that the integrated team effectively prioritize and execute a portfolio of high profile economic and regulatory compliance projects within the constraints of the long-range capital plan, the major event calendar (MEC) and planned site outages.
• Ensures all health, safety and environmental standards are upheld; monitors the effective application of project development and execution best practices and addresses actions arising from Gate Reviews, Field Level Risk Assessments, Critical Controls Assurance activities, and Incident Learning Program
• Coaches, mentors and develops the integrated team, reviews and manages their performance, ensures provision of appropriate training and development.
• Optimizes the project execution strategy across their portfolio of projects, including, but not limited to, defining optimal contracting strategies, technical specifications and streamlining project execution.
