Sr. BSA with Management Information Systems (MIS) experience to perform business and systems analysis and design for our insurance client

Location: Regina (Hybrid, 1 day per week)

Duration: 12 Months

Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Analyst maintains a “business perspective” through all phases of the problem resolution and systems enhancement. Business Systems Analysts work closely understand business needs, opportunities and requirements. Working in a team environment, the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for:

• Representing the business’ requirements
• Defining and designing the business functionality of the system
• Ensuring that the system meets the defined business requirements
• Defining business problems/opportunities, providing a clear definition and performing benefit analysis
• Performing business and systems analysis and design, articulating the logical design alternatives and recommending appropriate solutions
• Performing functional analysis and design, defining and documenting detailed business requirements
• Performing functional testing of system changes and supporting user acceptance testing of those changes
• Contributing to training strategies and business implementation planning

Must Haves:

• 7+ Years experience as a BSA
• Understanding of information technology/information systems (MIS)
• Degree in related discipline (Commerce/Management Information Systems, Business Administration, etc.)
• Understanding of business principles and experience with a broad range of different types of business functions
• Understanding of general IT project methodologies, processes and practices
