Story Behind the Need -

Business group: GIAM - Business Analysis, Reporting & Analytics

Scotiabank’s Information Security & Control (IS&C)’s Global Identity and Access Management group is responsible for development, management and governance of Logical Access control to the Bank’s information systems. The Business Analysis & Reporting and Analytics team is a team within the Identity and Access Management group that focuses on supporting internal GIAM applications, teams and business partners from a BA perspective.

Project: The candidate will work on multiple projects where they will be having hands on PAM, CyberArk, implementing entraID in MFA. Initially they will be working on process of upgrading MFA with Microsoft entra and identity.

Typical Day in Role:

The Business System Analyst contributes to the overall success of Global Identity and Access Management (GIAM) by ensuring specific analytics and reporting goals, plans, and overall initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

• Performing business requirement documents, documenting process, procedures, workflows and use cases, data analytics with metrics and preparing communications.

•conduct discovery and analysis of data, access processes and procedures to deliver recommendations.

• Assist the OCM with communication and training, preparing and leading training sessions to the system user community including administrators.

• Collaborate with systems experts i.e.: architects, developers, QA testers, Stakeholders, OCM (Organization Change Management), to document the change processes for system support, migrations, conversions and upgrades, and procedures to operationalize the system.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• You have 8+ years as a Business Analyst experience in preparing business Requirement documents, conduct discovery and analysis of data, access processes and procedures to deliver recommendations.

• 3-5 Years hands-on experience with the Microsoft suite of applications (ie: Visio, PowerPoint, Excel), PowerBI, PowerShell an asset, scripting, pivot tables, MS Access

• Working on different types of projects (from large complex to simple) is a part of your DNA.

• Recent years of understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM), Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Microsoft Entra and Cloud technologies.

• Build and maintain reporting dashboards to facilitate regular monitoring by GIAM management team

• Understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM), Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Microsoft Entra and Cloud technologies
