Our client is looking for a Sr. Enterprise Architect to help create a current state diagram of current systems in the Educations client space.

Overview:

This project aims to gather and document the Enterprise Systems Architecture for a College. The goal is to create a comprehensive current state diagram that accurately represents the institution's current systems, their interactions at a high level indicating any key data/API linkages, business owner(s), technical lead(s) and key dependencies. This documentation will serve as a foundational tool for future IT planning, system upgrades, process improvements, integration and continuous improvement efforts. All work to be completed remotely using MS Teams.

Must Have's:

• 5+ years as an Enterprise Architect
• Experience reviewing and creating current state diagrams
• Enterprise Systems Architecture diagram using the current version of MS-Visio
• Experience with Data and API Linkage
• Stakeholder Engagement

Responsibilities:

1. Initial Assessment:

· Conduct meetings with key stakeholders to understand the current systems and their purposes.

· Review existing documentation and system inventories.

2. Data Collection:

· Gather detailed information on all enterprise systems, including hardware, software, network infrastructure, and key high level data flows.

· Identify and document system interfaces, dependencies, API’s and integrations.

· Gather information that accurately represents the institution's current systems, their interactions at a high level indicating primary system purpose, any key data/API linkages, business owner(s), technical lead(s) and key dependencies.

3. Analysis:

· Analyze the collected data to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization.

· Validate the accuracy of the information with key stakeholders.

4. Diagram Creation:

· Develop a detailed Enterprise Systems Architecture diagram using the current version of MS-Visio.

· Ensure the diagram includes all relevant high-level components, such as cloud, servers, databases, applications, and network elements.

· Identify key data linkages or API’s.

5. Review and Finalization:

· Present revisions of draft diagram to stakeholders for feedback.

· Incorporate feedback and finalize the diagram.

· Provide a comprehensive report detailing the architecture and any recommendations for improvements.

Deliverables:

· Detailed Enterprise Systems Architecture diagram in MS-Visio.

· Comprehensive report on the current architecture, including recommendations for optimization.
