Our public sector client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to help lead an excess of projects including a both a migration project and infrastructure project

12 month contract to start; Hybrid model; two days onsite and three days remote (Looking for candidates near Vancouver or Victoria, BC); 40hrs/week

Must Haves:

• 10+ years experience as a Project Manager
• Government experience
• Experience managing large scale projects ranging from $10 million to $30+million

Responsibilities:

• Implementation project to ensure the work meets key business objectives and is completed on time within budget;
• Manage team of employees/contractors;
• Manage project scope in collaboration with business stakeholders;
• Create project plans, project schedules, budgets, etc. and monitor against targets; produce variance reporting and explanations
• Actively manage project risks and issues, identify/initiate corrective action where required; conduct monthly risk assessments and report on risks and issues;
• Maintain progress measures and deliver status reporting;
• Ensure maximum efficiency in allocation of skills and resources within the project; maintain resource plans and forecasts for the project;
• Liaise and ensure adequate communication with project sponsors, business, stakeholders and the project team
• Manage dependencies between assigned project and other projects
