Our Calgary client is looking for a Storage Architect with NetApp solution experience for a hands-on role setting up and migrating storage systems while ensuring security, and supporting a robust Azure-integrated infrastructure.

6 month contract to start. Must be able to come on site. Client located downtown.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years experience as a Solutions Architect specializing in Data Storage, Infrastructure and Azure solutions.
• Expertise in NetApp storage solutions, including setup, configuration, and migration.
• Experience with data security and backup solutions
• Strong understanding of Azure Infrastructure and its integration with on-prem storage systems.
• Proven experience in storage security, with a focus on securing backend environments.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience conducting or contributing to RFP processes for data protection solutions.
• Background in storage solutions for utilities, logistics, or midstream industries.
• Experience with tenant consolidation, specifically collapsing multiple tenants.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a robust storage architecture and lead the implementation of a new NetApp storage system, ensuring seamless integration into the existing environment.
• Plan and execute the migration of legacy storage to the newly implemented system with minimal downtime and maximum data integrity.
• Ensure that the storage environment is secure, particularly on the backend, adhering to best practices and organizational compliance standards.
• Leverage Azure capabilities to enhance storage functionality and performance, ensuring alignment with cloud strategies.
• Provide technical expertise during the evaluation and selection of a new data security and backup solution, participating in the RFP process.
