Our Valued Public Sector Client is seeking a Technical Writer to create standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process and training documentation for a security screening system.


Project Description:

Create SOPs for all users of the new Personnel Security Processing System (PSPS) outlining new business and system processes aligned with TBS policies.

Must Haves:

  • Technical Writer working for Department of National Defence (2+ years)
  • Process, procedures, and training documents. (2+ years)
  • Standard operating procedures (SOPs) for a security screening organization (1+ year)
  • Secret Clearance
  • Diploma or Degree related to Technical Writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze source documents; research past efforts; adopt user manual outputs of the Personnel Security Processing System (PSPS).
  • Interview and consult with multiple subject matter experts of each business unit to collect procedural information and current processes in place, and plan changes based on this feedback.
  • Re-develop a table of contents with hyperlinks to appropriate sections.
  • Create appropriate graphics and diagrams where needed.
  • Generate live web-links to enable access by employees on the DND Intranet website.
