Human-Computer Interaction and Visualisation Lead Developer

SKADRA is recruiting a human-computer interaction (HCI) and visualisation lead developer to support the Canadian defence. This role consists in designing, evaluating and implementing interactive visualisations of abstract data (numerical, textual or geographic) to enhance human cognition.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex and interactive visualisation tools and interfaces.
  • Design sketches, mock-ups, or prototypes based on user requirements using Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools.
  • Implement information systems with focus on HCI and visualization principles.
  • Develop and document visual interactive applications for various devices, including large displays and mobile devices, and using novel input/output devices like surface computing and gesture-based interaction.
  • Develop and document data structures, sub-systems and procedures to monitor and test systems.
  • Obtain and manage large collections of data, and the associated procedures and standards.
  • Manage and mentor lower-level software programmers and serve as an interface between the programmers and management.
