As a Total Rewards Specialist you will develop and implement SOTI’s total rewards framework. You will work with people in all levels of the organization and support the wider Human Resources team. In addition, you will perform detailed analysis on all areas of compensation, enabling you to make recommendations on budgeting, compensation policy and more.

What You’ll Do

  • Provides consulting and analytical services on subjects such as job evaluation and benchmarking methodologies

  • Leads or participates in the planning, implementation and communication of annual compensation processes including salary administration, market pricing/benchmarking

  • Conducts or participates in research on compensation practices and trends to analyze and identify issues or opportunities for compensation programs

  • Prepares and performs quantitative and qualitative analysis on compensation programs for government reporting

  • Participates in compensation related projects and provides costing support as assigned

  • Group Benefits and Retirement Savings administration

  • Applies subject matter expertise to the administration and delivery of group benefits and retirement savings programs

  • Liaises and builds relationship with our insurance carrier and broker to complete special projects

  • Prepares, analyzes, and initiates audits of benefits and retirement data to ensure accurate and smooth workflow for benefits enrollment, deductions, and lifecycle changes to interface files

  • Prepares compensation modeling, analyzes data for interpretation, develops reports for presentation and provides recommendations

  • Works with various stakeholders to develop perks model.

  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders to review salary adjustment and promotion recommendations

  • Conduct Pay Equity analysis and review

Experience You’ll Bring

  • 5- 7 years progressive HR experience with a minimum 3 years related directly to job design, analysis, evaluation and compensation in an organization with a diverse workforce

  • Strong understanding of and experience with Job evaluation, design and documentation

  • Your detail orientation and ability to multi-task will compliment your knowledge of principles, theories and practices related to the compensation field

  • You are a strong and confident critical and analytical thinker

  • Ability to integrate and collaborate well with different teams to deliver wholistic solutions under the wider People & Culture banner

  • Expert MS Excel skills, Workday experience is an asset

  • Well versed in legislative requirements (Pay Equity and Employment Standards)

  • Through your experience, you have demonstrated success in working in the compensation field
