Description
Are you a talented engineer who wants to use your mechanical knowledge to design unique tooling? As a tooling engineer, you'll have the opportunity to learn more and more about our manufacturing processes, in order to meet our customers' highest quality standards. Your main role? Participate in the development of our new tooling and processes, with an eye to manufacturing efficiency, quality and productivity.
In this position, you will :
- Define project requirements with stakeholders and plan all project activities
- Write specifications, budget and present projects for approval
- Define design standards
- Perform mechanical analysis in support of mold design
- Participate in and approve designs according to internal and external requirements
- Participate in the research of various components
- Participate in the management of subcontractors involved in the project
- Supervise first production validations in the factory
- Collaborate with various internal departments such as maintenance, production, start-up, manufacturing engineering, etc.
- Communicate project progress by means of dashboards, indicators or at governing meetings
- Ensure that the needs of the internal or external customer are met, and that the customer is satisfied with the proposed solution, throughout the project.
- Monitor technological advances that could be implemented in our processes.

ProfileWith the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (O.I.Q)
- Experience in product development
- Knowledge of SolidEdge or other CAD software
- Functional English to communicate with our customers
- Proficiency in the Office suite and knowledge of project planning tools
