POSITION DESCRIPTION:
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ENROLLMENT (PERMANENT, FULL TIME)
The Assistant Director of Enrollment is an integral part of the Admissions team. It is responsible for assisting the Director of Enrollment in attracting and retaining a diverse population of students and families who will thrive in our enriched learning environment and are aligned with our school culture and mission. The Assistant Director of Enrollment is also responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Admissions team on an ongoing basis. The Assistant Director of Enrollment works with the Admissions team members to provide exceptional service and support to all prospective and current members of our community.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engages in work aimed at supporting the Director of Enrollment to ensure enrollment targets are met
Provides oversight, manages, and prioritizes the daily workflow of the team, comprised of the Admissions Coordinator and Admissions Assistant
Conducts the annual review process of the Admissions Coordinator and Admissions Assistant
Oversees the admissions applicant experience from the point of inquiry through enrollment ensuring the highest standards of client care are maintained
Communicates the school's programs, offerings, mission and culture to prospective candidates and their families in person and through written communication
Prepares all Grades K - 12 applicant files for review and oversees the applicant tracking process
Conducts interviews with applicant students and families
Serves as a member of the Admission Selection Committee, evaluating and assessing potential candidates for admission
Manages the Financial Assistance Program of bursaries and scholarships available to prospective students and families
Coordinates and prepares materials for the Scholarship Review Committee
Manages the annual re-enrollment process
Oversees the transition and onboarding of new students and families
Oversees the planning and execution of admissions-related events
Oversees the planning and execution of assessment days for Grades K 12
Supports the admissions team with processing, managing, and tracking applicant files for Grades K - 12 during peak periods of the enrollment cycle
Assists with scheduling family and student interviews as needed
Tracks purchases and reconciles the Admission Department's budget expenditures quarterly
Generates and prepares statistical data pertaining to enrollment, retention, and the Financial Assistance Program for reporting purposes
Works with the Marketing and Communications Department to update the website and New Parent Portal and develop marketing and promotional materials
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a certificate or diploma in a related field and/ or a minimum of three to five years of related experience
Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in supervising and managing staff, delegating responsibilities, prioritizing tasks, and providing positive feedback
Ability to create and lead a collaborative team
Advanced interviewing and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to exercise sound judgement and think strategically
High level of initiative, energy and motivation
High degree of confidence working with data and statistical analysis
Experience with large-scale events or projects
Experience working with volunteers
Advanced computer skills that include proficiency working with Google products, Microsoft Office Suite, and database systems
Motivated by the demands of a fast-paced work environment
An understanding of and alignment with the ethos/mission of the school
Prior experience in admissions, an independent school environment, education and/or a working knowledge of the Onboard (Blackbaud) admission module is considered an asset

The annual salary range for this position is between $85,000 $100,000
