St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a full-time temporary teaching position at St. Augustine School in Ponoka, Alberta. This position will begin April 7, 2025 and end June 30, 2025.
St. Augustine School is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that honors a faith based education, personalized and innovative teaching methods. We are seeking a teacher with a range of literacy and numeracy skills who is creative and passionate, committed to creating an engaging and supportive classroom experience for all students. As a kindergarten teacher, you will be responsible for co - delivering a well-rounded, play based and caring educational experience. You will apply your knowledge of differentiation, response to intervention and Indigenous ways of knowing to ensure that every student’s unique needs are met and their cultural backgrounds are respected. Regular feedback and assessment of student progress is expected. Collaboration with colleagues and a commitment to board and school goals is vital.
Ponoka, a town in central Alberta, is located 59 kilometers north of Red Deer and 95 kilometers south of Edmonton and has a population of 7500. Serving more than 650 students, the school is proud of its long-standing tradition of offering an excellent faith-filled, educational experience. St. Augustine School offers Pre-school, Kindergarten and grades 1 through 12.
