As a Financial Services Consultant, Client Relationship you will be responsible for building relationships with clients’ of our personal Group Choices plan. Your objective is to provide comprehensive portfolio reviews, assist with retirement planning discussions and advise clients on financial decisions while helping them achieve their financial goals. You will be tasked with strengthening client relationships, while achieving service & sales targets. Through this role you will be an ambassador of Sun Life’s Client Experience vision, where you will demonstrate CARE, inspire CONFIDENCE and make it EASY for clients to do business with Sun Life. You will ensure the delivery of amazing client experiences for new Group Choices clients as well improve loyalty and retention of existing clients.
Main accountabilities:
Connect with clients by phone and educate them on the benefits of their Group Choices plan while encouraging them to save with Sun Life.
Partner with clients to be ‘retirement ready’ through the use of planning tools. Ensure all clients maintain an updated plan in order to achieve personal goals.
Provide investment advice to clients, through consultation related to their financial needs, including savings, and retirement income.
Review portfolio investments, product options, savings goals, and assist with asset consolidation.
Create an investment risk assessment profile for clients. This will support them in aligning their investments to their desired risk tolerance.
Successfully achieve sales targets by building great relationship and delivering a wonderful client experience.
Keep abreast of product changes, understand new products that that come to market, keep a pulse on industry changes and competitor products.
Note: This role does NOT require any prospecting of new clients or cold calling. You will be interacting with existing clients of Sun Life.
Assets:
Financial Services industry experience in an advisory capacity
Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or Canadian Investment Fund Course (IFIC)
Certified Financial Planning designation (CFP or IQPF)
Contact Centre experience
Mandatory:
Valid and active Life Insurance License (LLQP) or Insurance of person license in Quebec (1a)
As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
