Job Description:
About the role:
Reporting to the Director, Subsidiary Governance, the Subsidiary Services Analyst will be an experienced governance professional who will serve as a key resource within the team to coordinate and collate information from various sources to ensure accurate record keeping within the Subsidiary Governance team.
What will you do?
Subsidiary Board Support including but not limited to:
- Managing, monitoring and maintaining the global entity management system (GEMS), a central repository of essential information for Sun Life Financial Inc. and its global subsidiaries for regulatory, compliance and financial reporting purposes
- Producing, analyzing and updating reports and metrics as required for regulatory compliance and governance purposes
- Maintaining signing authorizations for each of the Canadian Subsidiaries and creating reports to support the monthly distribution of authorized signer lists for SLF/SLA
- Drafting standard officer certificates (such as authorized signers, constating documents, director lists, etc.)
- Assisting with documents and communications required for annual proceedings of subsidiaries
- Creating reports to support the annual Subsidiary Governance Report
Corporate Secretary Compliance Support including but not limited to:
- Produce and analyze reports for the annual Directors and Officers liability insurance renewal
- Acting as the backup administrator for GEMS
- Assist with other duties as delegated or assigned in the department, including routine and special projects, as required
What do you need to succeed?
- At least 7 years’ experience in database management or data analysis
- Post-secondary diploma or degree
- Proficiency with Excel, specifically pivot tables and data manipulation
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills
- Demonstrated professionalism and diplomacy
- Ability to:
- work effectively in a high-volume environment
- work collaboratively while engaging and influencing others as needed
- prioritize work with minimal direction
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GEMS
- Tact, discretion and confidentiality are essential as this role has regular contact with sensitive materials
- Detail oriented
- Proactive follow-up on outstanding matters

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
