Job Description:
The Corporate Treasury team has responsibility for the North America Treasury functions at Sun Life including cash management, payment execution, governance, controls and risk management practices, and act as trusted advisors to business units in providing treasury solutions and services.
Reporting to the Director, Treasury Initiatives, the Treasury Analyst provides project management, business analysis and project support services to the Treasury team, supporting Treasury’s transformation. The Treasury Analyst works closely with business, operations and technology stakeholders to assess current state, understand business needs, identify gaps, design and implement solutions leveraging their solid knowledge on Treasury Operations and Payments to ensure successful project delivery. Projects include system implementation and enhancements with impacts across multiple business units; adoption of tools, products/services to optimize processes and improve data analytics.
What will you do?
The Treasury Project Analyst role provides support to Treasury for projects led by Treasury and/or projects led by other business groups, including DBTS, where Treasury is a key stakeholder. This role would help ensure projects and project tasks stay on track, ensure the appropriate stakeholders are engaged, and action items are completed in a timely manner.
The successful candidate would participate in all project phases including:
Documenting/contributing to detailed requirements, scope setting
Contributing to the project timelines by identifying freeze periods, month/quarter ends or other periods where project delivery could be impacted
Co-ordinate project execution and implementation
Contributing to test strategy
Participating in business acceptance testing
Process mapping
Process documentation and communication
Training/transition
Identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders from other business groups
Support the business when required for Business Case development
Change management-delivery of information and training to end users impacted by the project changes
Monitor project progress, identify and track risks, actions, issues, decisions
What you need to succeed?
Sound knowledge of business project management practices and disciplines, tools and methodologies.
4+ years of project experience in financial services industry with strong understanding of operations and treasury practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong written and communication skills
Strong team-player with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build effective relationships
Ability to manage work priorities ensuring timely responses to business, ability to manage deliverables to meet deadlines
Notes/Unique Requirements:
Off business hours work is occasionally required to support global client base and system implementations.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
