Manager, Scheduling Transformation & Workforce Optimization - Regular Full-time 2024-9663

  • Reporting to the Director, Workforce Strategy & HR Digital, and the successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic and operational leadership to implement scheduling transformation initiatives and support optimized workforce strategies across the organization while balancing staff morale and engagement and in keeping with the vision, mission, and values of Sunnybrook.
  • Provide leadership and hands-on support to the Scheduling & Workforce Optimization team in planning, developing and managing complex project plans, and leading multiple work streams across clinical programs
  • Will be expected to directly manage projects/workstreams where appropriate, particularly where organizational risk is significant and complex
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and managers to understand their needs and priorities, and provide support to the team particularly in the context of conflicting priorities in this context
  • Identify, mitigate, and appropriately escalate project risks
  • Partner closely with other corporate support areas such as HR Services, Labour Relations, IT, and Finance to ensure success on joint deliverables.
  • Leverage innovative technologies and business practices for staff scheduling and rotation management to ensure that workforce sustainability is supported across organization

 

Qualifications/Skills

 

  • Bachelor degree in business or healthcare required. Master degree in related field an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years progressive supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Project management and organizational change-management expertise and experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing innovative services, policies, procedures and/or programs in the areas of Workforce Management/Scheduling
  • Human Resources and/or labour relations experience and/or education an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to respectfully resolve and diffuse conflict.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a highly demanding environment, and consistently demonstrate initiative to improve processes is critical
  • Flexible thinker, with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook.
