Print Machine Helper - Print Shop - Regular Full-time 2024-10854

Summary of Duties:

The Print Machine Helper is part of the Print Services Department, the team works collaboratively to ensure that all tasks are completed and customer service is maintained.

Print Machine Helper role involves operating all bindery equipment, process orders, performs all post printing functions. 

The Print Machine helper will also assist with customer enquiries so a thorough knowledge of digital print and process is required. 

A key role of the Print Machine Helper role is to provide support to the Print Machine Operators and to assist them with all aspects of printing and finishing.

• Digital Press and Print Processes as well as pre-press
• Demonstrated experience with DIGITAL bindery equipment:
  • Cerlox
  • Coiling
  • Laminating
  • Folding
  • Cutting
  • Drilling
  • Book Binding
  • Scoring
  • Bookletmaker Finishing
• Heavy Lifting (approximately 60 lbs.)
• Other duties as required

Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum 3+ years current Print Shop experience in a Bindery Position
• Minimum Grade 12 Education
• Current experience using Digital Bindery equipment
• Demonstrated strong computerized technical skills
• Understanding of pre-press processes
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, and must be flexible and adaptable.
• Strong customer service orientation
• Demonstration of expert collaboration skills, team player
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
• Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance
