Description

The Neurophysiology Technologist will perform various diagnostic testing, which includes complete diagnostic sleep studies of polysomnography, nasal CPAP & Bi-level titration and other related diagnostic tests. Also perform in-service education, provide clinical education and training to hospital personnel and act as a resource person on various aspects of Polysomnography.

Will also be able to:

Provide patient education regarding the use of home oxygen and therapy equipment.
Carry out all administrative work associated with various outpatient diagnostic procedures.
Re-assess patients requiring various sleep adjuncts and suggest alternatives to the physician.

Qualifications/Skills:

Registered Sleep Technologist with RPSGT Registration
Experience in EMG and/or EEG neurophysiology an asset
Skills in Respiratory Therapy an asset
Skills in EP an asset
Strong technical skills required
Strong computer skills an asset
Excellent communication skills and commitment to the team and Patient Focused Care
