You are skilled at working from SerDes standards to block specifications, identifying potential circuit architectures, and developing successful design strategies. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working with cross-functional teams of analog and digital designers from diverse backgrounds. You have a track record of guiding and mentoring junior engineers, helping them to develop their skills and expertise. Your technical experience includes full custom analog/mixed-signal circuit design, custom layout, circuit simulations, reliability investigations, and post-silicon characterization. You are an effective communicator, capable of presenting complex simulation data to peers and customers, and documenting design features and test plans.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Reviewing SerDes standards to develop top and sub-block specifications for analog design.
  • Driving projects and providing guidance to junior engineers.
  • Identifying and refining circuit architectures to achieve optimal power, area, and performance targets.
  • Proposing design and verification strategies that efficiently utilize simulator features to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Overseeing physical layout to minimize the effects of parasitics, device stress, and process variation.
  • Reviewing and presenting simulation data for peer and customer review.
  • Defining and documenting design features and test plans.
  • Proposing solutions for post-silicon design updates.

The Impact You Will Have:
  • Contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge Multi-Gbps NRZ & PAM4 SERDES IP.
  • Help drive innovation in high-speed analog integrated circuits, pushing the boundaries of current technology.
  • Ensure the highest quality designs through meticulous design and verification strategies.
  • Enhance the reliability and performance of our silicon IP products.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, contributing to the growth of our team's expertise.
  • Support the successful integration and deployment of our products in customer applications.

What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field (BSEE with 10+ years of experience, or MSEE/PhD with 6+ years of experience).
  • Design experience in high-speed PHY and transistor-level circuit design.
  • Expertise in one or more SerDes sub-circuits (e.g., receive equalizers, samplers, voltage/current-mode drivers, serializers, deserializers, VCOs, phase mixers, DLLs, PLLs, bandgap references, ADCs, DACs).
  • Familiarity with custom digital design and design for reliability (e.g., EM, IR, aging).
  • Experience with tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification.
  • Proficiency in SPICE simulators and simulation methods.
  • Knowledge of Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling and simulation-control/data-capture.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Perl, C, Python, MATLAB) is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with the physical layout of high-speed circuits is a plus.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Who You Are:

A detail-oriented and innovative problem solver with excellent analytical skills. You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You have strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for guiding and developing junior engineers. You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and are adept at presenting complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. Your proactive approach and ability to exercise independent judgment make you a valuable asset to any project team.
