You are a seasoned engineer with a robust background in ASIC architecture, digital design, and verification. With over 12 years of industry experience, you possess a deep understanding of high-speed mixed-signal PHYs such as PCIe, Ethernet, and USB. Your technical expertise is complemented by strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You thrive in dynamic environments and are excited about the opportunity to work on the latest variants of these protocols. You value flexibility in your work location, with a preference for some office presence in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) or Ottawa.
You are proactive, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. Your extensive knowledge allows you to tackle significant and unique issues, and you excel at communicating complex technical concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Architecting, designing, and verifying high-speed mixed-signal PHYs like PCIe, Ethernet, and USB.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new variants of these protocols.
- Ensuring that designs meet performance, power, and size requirements for target applications.
- Conducting detailed design reviews and providing feedback to improve design quality.
- Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices in digital design and verification.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continually enhance our technology offerings.
- Driving the development of cutting-edge technologies that power the Era of Smart Everything.
- Contributing to the world’s broadest portfolio of silicon IP, enabling faster integration of capabilities into SoCs.
- Helping customers bring differentiated products to market quickly with reduced risk.
- Enhancing the performance, power efficiency, and size optimization of our IP solutions.
- Influencing strategic goals and directly impacting department results through innovative solutions.
- Strengthening Synopsys’ leadership in chip design and software security through your expertise.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of industry experience in ASIC architecture, digital design, and verification.
- Proven track record in designing and verifying high-speed mixed-signal PHYs (PCIe, Ethernet, USB).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in various locations within Ontario, with a preference for GTA or Ottawa office presence.
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communicator, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
