We are looking for an experienced Electronics/Electrical Design Engineer to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience and be registered (or eligible to be registered) as a full-fledged engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. This position will focus primarily on analog and digital printed circuit board (PCB) and printed circuit board assembly (PCA) design, which will occupy around 50% of working time. In addition, you will be involved in the integration of printed circuit boards into electrical systems. Knowledge or interest in embedded programming is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, development and validation of printed circuit boards (PCBs and PCAs) for industrial applications;
  • Electrical design of printed circuit board integration into products (wiring diagrams).
  • BOM management and selection of electronic and electrical components.
  • Monitor production/manufacturing and quality control of printed circuit boards.
  • Identify the causes of failures and make the necessary improvements and corrections.
  • Document processes and write technical reports.
  • Collaborate with other teams (mechanical and software design, production, sales, commissioning, etc.) to ensure optimal integration of electronic components into overall systems and processes.
  • Establish electronic design standards and methods (creation and maintenance of libraries, procedures, standardization of component types, management of manufacturing subcontracting).
  • Take charge of product vision and evolution, understand customer industries and needs, participate in the decision-making process on new functionalities and product improvements.

Requested skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electronic or electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Registered engineer (or eligible to be registered) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Three (3) years' experience
  • Relevant experience in printed circuit board (PCB) and printed circuit assembly (PCA) design.
  • Knowledge of electronic and electrical design software (Fusion, Autocad Electrical, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a team and solve complex technical problems.
  • Knowledge of embedded microcontroller and FPGA programming or interest in developing skills in these areas.
  • Experience in designing electronic systems for industrial applications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes from design to production.
