Job Description:

Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, the Leader will be responsible for the provision of effective support services including staff supervision, auditing, scheduling, quality management, and customer service problem solving activities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Completion of a community college or university level program - Business Program preferred with knowledge and understanding of food service industry, housekeeping, transport and related patient care.
• High level of organizational and time management skills, using self - direction and sound judgment to coordinate multiple demands and deadlines.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to foster strong team relationships are essential.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, physicians, customers, family members and the public.
• Proven high level of organizational and time management skills, using self - direction and sound judgement to coordinate multiple demands and deadlines, adjusting positively to changing needs.
• Experience working with Lean principles, an understanding of methodologies and tools and a commitment to the use of these in support of providing the best healthcare experience possible to our patients.
• Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety. Participates in regular in-service education in these areas.
• Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public.
• Demonstrated pattern of good attendance.

Asset:
• Previous supervisory experience in healthcare
• Previous human resource management skills including recruitment, training, performance reviews, scheduling and conflict resolution.
• Computer experience in a Windows-based environment.
