Educational Assistant (Competition #S1920-1577)

Assignment: Part-time 0.20 FTE Educational Assistant positionTuesday and Thursday mornings 8:30-12:00, schedule can be flexible dependent on the successful candidate. Working directly with an individual student or in small groups of students in an Elementary classroom setting A typical day would involve working one-on-one with an individual student, while also providing supervision of additional students throughout the day Duties to commence February 3, 2025 and continue until the end of May or the middle of June 2025. Qualifications: Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant Experience supporting students and children with behavioural needs would be considered an asset Responsible for one-to-one work with a single student Ability to support literacy and numeracy Willingness to work in an active, team-orientated learning environment Additional responsibilities would include indoor and outdoor supervision duties Current First Aid and SIVA training would be considered an asset Please Note: We appreciate the interest of all applicants, but advise that only candidates selected for an interview for this competition will be contacted.
