Description
Bentley School is a Pre-K to gr 12 school that serves 425 students. We are looking for an educational assistant that is committed to fostering student success. The goal is to take great pride in creating a supportive environment where students can thrive academically, athletically and personally.
Assignment:
- Part-time 0.20 FTE Temporary Educational Assistant position
- Duties to commence March 5, 2025 and will continue for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year
- To provide support and assistance to students in grades five and six within small groups and individualized settings
- One day per week - Wednesdays
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Experience working with students in a one-on-one and small group setting
- Ability to formulate strong and healthy relationships with students
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a flexible learning environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with all staff to ensure the best possible educational experience
- Experience working with service providers would be considered an asset
- Calm and patient approach to solving problems
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member
- Ability to work one on one with a student in an inclusive environment
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
