Description
Bentley School is a Pre-K to grade 12 school serving 460 students. We are looking for a strong candidate that is committed to fostering academic excellence, character development, and physical well-being among students. Assignment:
- Part-time 0.56 FTE temporary replacement teaching position
- Course load to include: Grades 7 & 8 Language Arts and English 10-4
- Duties to commence May 6, 2025, with the possibility of an earlier start date and will continue until June 10, 2025
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in a Junior High classroom would be considered an asset
- Experience teaching courses as listed above would be considered an asset
- Passion for education and a commitment to student success
- Assessment literate
- Able to provide direction and create individual student programs in collaboration with an EA
- Strong technology and 21st-century learning skills with an early education perspective
- Effective classroom management that facilitates safe, caring, and inclusive spaces for all students
- Knowledge of Power Teacher and SeeSaw would be considered an asset
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use varied instructional strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs and abilities
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
