With a staff of 14,000, the TCDSB is a dynamic school board and is seeking a temporary Technical System Analyst, Enterprise Applications within the Information & Communication Technology Infrastructure (ICT) Department for approximately 11 Months (possibility for an extension).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting to and under the direction of the Senior Coordinator, Enterprise Applications, the primary function of this position is to effectively solve problems, administer, and implement the integration of the Board's IEP application and SIS as well as the Board's SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application and related solutions.
Develop and maintain applications using ASP.NET, Visual Basic .NET, JavaScript, Java, and SQL within a Microsoft environment
Manage and optimize systems, ensuring high performance and efficiency
Analyze system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical solutions
Utilize Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, Azure, Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio for application development and system management
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document specifications, and communicate technical concepts effectively
Apply Agile or Scrum methodologies to manage projects and prioritize tasks
Resolve conflicts and handle challenging situations under tight deadlines, ensuring successful project delivery
Collaborate with business stakeholders and conducting business requirements gathering and analysis to create and enable innovative solutions that effectively meet business needs
Facilitate software change requests to meet business process change requirements in conjunction with various departments
Research issues, diagnose, provide recommendations, and implement acceptable solutions
Meet with the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications to set, monitor goals and review the status of projects and tasks
Respond to major issues and critical incidents, including system outages and security
Available after-hours as needed to carry out changes as well as emergency response to mission-critical and significant incidents
Maintain documentation on system design, architecture, security, processes, and procedures
Optimize and streamline business processes by effectively understanding and utilizing enterprise software applications.
Early recognition of potential problems, communicating and acting to mitigate risks
Perform other duties as assigned or required
REQUIREMENTS
Degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, management information systems, computer engineering, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
Demonstrated proficiency in ASP.NET, Visual Basic .NET, JavaScript, Java, and SQL and familiarity with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, and Azure. Experience with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio is also essential.
Experience analyzing system requirements, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing systems for performance, including knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Strong communication skills are necessary to interact with stakeholders and team members, clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users, and clearly document requirements
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions
Ability to self-organize, time management, and prioritize work assignments and tasks with attention to detail
Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as with teams, staying organized, managing time effectively, and results-oriented
Availability to work outside core office hours, as required
This is a level 9 non-union position with a salary range of $85,621 - $102,747.
