Position Overview

The IT System and Security Analyst is responsible to ensure all IT core systems, applications and end user systems run within established parameters. The IT System and Security Analyst is required to interact with management, mentor department members and assist system users. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.

This is an on-site role, and candidates must live within a reasonable distance to TCR's office in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee existing IT systems, networks and internal processes;
  • Document and review IT security policies, problem resolutions, procedures, and support regular basis tests such as critical systems failover and penetration tests;
  • Guarantee corporate compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC1) by maintaining best practices such as applying encryption protocols, Key management to ensure security of data;
  • Interact and maintain security solutions for monitoring cyber-attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorized or illegal activity to protect organization’s data;
  • Responsible for maintaining and managing Risk assessment and Change Management processes.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on core business systems to maintain uptime;
  • Collaborate in implementation of strategic projects and identifying areas for improvement within organization's IT infrastructure;
  • Developing policies and procedures to ensure that all internal systems and processes meet organization’s standards and user/client requirements;
  • Stay up to date on network security developments through various websites and resources;
  • Deploy, test and manage corporate security solutions and tools such as endpoint protection, automated threat detection/prevention and vulnerability scanning systems to ensure security measures are in place and working as intended;
  • Participate in internal and external audits to identify and document requirements, assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware;
  • Manage and monitor corporate access rights and credentials for information in a variety of internal systems, including – but not limited to – Microsoft Active Directory and Firewall;
  • Evening and weekend work, sometimes unscheduled, will occasionally be required;
  • End user support for remote workers;
  • Other duties as mandated by TCR management

Requirements

Preference given to candidates with completed Minimum College/University education or related experience in Information Technology

• Microsoft Certification desired

• Expert level experience using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Windows and Server Systems

• Telecom system related experience an asset

• Excellent software and hardware skills are a must

• Outstanding communication, management and organizational skills

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, VMware ESI and ESET an asset
