The position is based in Quebec City but the chosen person will participate in the global sales activites of Dunham and Quebec City.

Experience with equipment sales, manufacturing, food or agricultural sectors, assembly lines or conveyor belts are assets. You can win as a team, and you are familiar with the use of an ERP and a CRM. You understand the importance of keeping track of your opportunities. You are bilingual (French and English) and speak and write. You have ambition, possibility of moving forward in the medium term as a Sales and Business Development Territory Manager on the road.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Account Executive, Inside Sales and Customer Service

Purpose of the position: Advise regular customers by processing a constant supply of requests for quotes, regularly follow up on quotes, close sales, process orders, all while ensuring quality local customer and after-sales service.

Key activities and responsibilities:

Produce quotes according to the client's needs.

Follow up on quotes to close sales.

Process orders for production.

Maintain client files.

To offer quality customer and after-sales service.

Collaborate with other team members.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services.

Job description:


Produce quotes according to customer needs.

Receive price requests by email and/or phone from customers.

Ensure that all parameters of customer product and facility needs are obtained.

Interpret product specifications to identify comparative products.

If necessary, solicit the Managers of the territories for a visit to the client's premises.

Request quotes from our suppliers for products that are not in our inventory.

Ask our suppliers about the technical specifications of the products when placing special orders.

Write the quote through the system by applying the discounts.

Forward quotes to the client and to the Territory Managers.


Follow up on quotes and close sales.

Follow up on unconverted quotes by phone and/or email to close sales and identify reasons for non-conversion. Ensure that the statuses of quotes/orders are up to dated in the system.


Process orders for production.

Perform the procedure of order entry into the system, ensure the transfer to purchases and send confirmations to customers.


Maintain client records.

For all new customers, route account opening requests, make requests for credit checks and supplier referrals. Obtain management approval for the opening of accounts. Inform the customer of the terms and conditions of payments and determine the method of delivery.

Maintain customer records by adding relevant notes on orders, product BOMs, requests and customer interactions.


To offer quality customer and after-sales service

Provide quick and accurate answers to customer questions.

Be patient and courteous to unhappy customers and find solutions.

Respond and communicate with customers to inform them of the status of their order and to resolve any issues or questions related to the order.

Follow up on overdue orders and notify customers.

Process complaints and return merchandise requests (RMAs).


Collaborate with other team members.

Work closely with the Territory Manager to ensure that customers are satisfied and that sales are successfully closed.

Communicate with the various departments such as technical, production, invoicing, continuous improvement, and shipping to resolve order or delivery issues.

Participate in weekly meetings with the Sales Manager.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Participate in the training process of new work colleagues during the skills acquired.


Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services.

Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the industry to be able to present the company's products and services in an effective manner.

Actively participate in any training given by the company.

Qualification Profile

College diploma in administration and/or mechanical engineering. Any other experience related to the position will be considered.

2-3 years of experience in inside sales and customer service.

Knowledge of industrial mechanics.

Knowledge of conveyor belts is a major asset.

Ease in the use of computer systems, ERP and CRM environment.

Ease in mathematical calculations and mechanical sense.

Excellent people skills, patience, and calmness.

Curiosity to learn, sense of organization, methodical, initiative and autonomy.

Ability to work on multiple files at the same time and priority management.

Concern for a job well done excellent team spirit, mutual aid, and diligence.

Bilingualism essential speaking and writing (English, French).
